Elliot Cadeau, the 5th ranked prospect in our 2024 player rankings, has cut his list of schools involved in his recruitment down to six, Louisville, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Texas, Kansas, and North Carolina.

Cadeau is set to have a monster junior season at high school powerhouse Link Academy (MO), where he will lead the team at the starting point guard position.

In this interview, Cadeau breaks down each of his top six schools and gives a timetable on when he wants. to make a college decision.

Louisville: "I went on a visit there and it was really good. I love Coach Kenny Payne. He is one of the best coaches I have ever talked to in my life. I have heard a lot of good stuff about Coach Kenny, it is always good stuff I hear about him. He seems very respected throughout every level of basketball."

Syracuse: "They were one of the first high major schools to recruit me. They have been coming to my practices since my Sophmore year. I talk to the assistant coach almost every week. I really like their program."

Texas: "They are kind of a new school. I really like Coach Beard. I watched him a lot when he was at Texas Tech.  He always has stayed interested with me and recently offered me. We have been on the phone a lot."

Texas Tech: "They were one of the first schools to recruit me. They have been showing me love for about two years now. I love their staff, I loved the visit it was a great first visit."

North Carolina: " I really like UNC. I really like Coach Davis too. There are a lot of guards from the New York/New Jersey area that have gone there. I feel like it would be a goof fit for me. They are a winning program. I like winning a lot."

Kansas: "Kansas is also a winning program. They have been interested with me and offered for a while now. I have been on the phone with them a lot. I really like their culture. They won the National Championship last yard so that is really good too."

What does it feel like cutting your list down and getting closer to a commitment?

Elliot Cadeau: "It feels really good. The main thing I did when I was looking at these schools, was looking at who really really wants me. If a schools hasn't offered me yet as a junior, they don't see me as a priority. All these schools have shown me that I am a priority."

Do you have a timetable on when you want to make a college decision?

Elliot Cadeau: "Not really. I would prefer to be committed before AAU starts, just so I can go out there and have fun and not worry about any colleges. I would like to be committed by then but if not, it is no rush."
