6’10 Power Forward Jarin Stevenson might be the most interesting prospect in the class of 2024. Jarin has a high motor and a natural nose for the ball, making him very effective on the offensive and defensive glass. His frame and athleticism allow Stevenson to live above the rim, along with his great timing and instincts to be in the right positions as a help side rim protector. He’s an exceptional athlete in open space running the floor for highlight dunks, chase down blocks or pushing the break and finding teammates running the lanes.
Offensively his skill set makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams and coaches. Stevenson scores in many different ways whether that’s spotting up for transition threes, going coast to coast and finishing in traffic or punishing defenders in the low post. He possesses good footwork dancing around defenders with euro steps or creating separation with an array of pivot moves and jab steps. There aren't many prospects his size that can spot-up shoot, make plays off the dribble and move with such fluidity as Stevenson.
With Stevensons versatility, toughness and polished skills it's easy to see why he’s one of the best prospects in the class of 2024. He is a high level talent who already possesses offers from high major programs such as Georgetown, Missouri, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia and Wake Forest. Depending on his progression throughout the rest of his high school career, I believe by the time Stevenson steps foot on a college campus he will be an impact player from day one.
