2024 4-Star Robert Wright: Exclusive Interview

Robert Wright is one of the most skilled PG's in the entire 2024 class. This summer playing with Team Final (PA), Wright showed the country that he can compete with anyone put against him. 

Wright, who is going into his junior season at Neumann Goretti (PA), has watched his recruitment skyrocket. He hopes to lead his team to another state championship. 

In this interview, Wright breaks down his recruitment, this past grassroots season, and what his goals are for his junior year. 

Talk about your spring and summer with Team Final (PA)

Robert Wright: "It was a great spring and summer. I had a lot of fun with those guys. We made it to the final four at Peach Jam so that was a big accomplishment. Playing in front of all those coaches and in that environment, it was really good."

Going into this grassroots season, was there a part of your game that you wanted to improve?

Robert Wright: "Shooting the ball from deep from three and my athleticism. Like finishing over the rim and stuff like that."

How would you describe your game?

Robert Wright: "I am a playmaker. I can run the play the coach wants. I can create my own shot and get my teammates open. I can really do it all."

Who are some players you try to model your game after?

Robert Wright: "I would say Chris Paul. He is a floor general and can get all of his teammates an open. shot. He can also score it too. I watch Damian Lillard too, he can also score and get his teammates involved."

You are headed into your Junior season at Neumann Goretti (PA), what are your goals?

Robert Wright: "The team goal is to win the PCL again. Win State and win Cities. Just go three for three again. Personal goals, I want to get my 1K points and win PCL MVP."

Recruitment

How has the overall recruitment process been going for you?

Robert Wright: "Overall it has been going well. I have been getting recruited very highly It has been a good experience. I am the first person in my family to go through this it has been really fun."

Who are the schools that reach out to you the most?

Robert Wright: "I talk to all of them a lot. The ones that reach out the most though are probably Maryland, Baylor, Louisville, Kansas State, Wake Forest, Miami, and Syracuse."

What are the conversations like with all the coaches recruiting you?

Robert Wright: "They all want me to come to their schools and run their team. They want me to take them to a national championship."
