4-Star prospect Jaland Lowe had one of the biggest stock rising grassroots season's out of anyone in the country. Lowe led his Houston Hoops (TX) team to the Nike EYBL Peach Jam Semi-Finals, where they fell short.

Lowe has offers and interests from schools all over the country, and after an impressive spring and summer, his recruitment blew up even more.

In this interview, Lowe breaks down his recruitment, his time with the Houston Hoops, and more.

Talk about your spring and summer with the Houston Hoops (TX)

Jaland Lowe: "Man it was an uphill battle for us. I feel like the main group that played together the entire season was the best. We had a great time and it was a great summer of basketball. I really enjoyed my teammates. We just had a lot of fun."

Was there a part of your game you wanted to improve this grassroots season?

Jaland Lowe: "For me, it was playing with more speed and shooting the ball at a better consistency. Those were two of the main focuses for AAU."

What was your most memorable moment from this past grassroots season?

Jaland Lowe: "For me it was probably the game against City Rocks. That was my worst game of the entire season. I sat out most of the game, that was the least I ever played. Watching my team on the bench and them doing great, our bench energy was great, just seeing everything go our way was great to watch. Even though it wasn't about me, just watching my teammates succeed that was my favorite highlight."

Goals for your senior season at Fort Bend Marshall (TX)

Jaland Lowe: "Personal goals are for me to get my skill level to where it needs to be so I am ready for college. I think that is a big part of my senior season. Just set myself to a high standard and try and get ready for what is ahead of me. For team goals, it is to win a state championship. That is all I really want to do."

Recruitment

How has the overall recruitment process been going for you and your family?

Jaland Lowe: "It's been going great. It is stressful but great. It is something that I wanted as a kid and I am happy that it is happening now."

What schools have been reaching out the most?

Jaland Lowe: "Personally I would probably say Pitt and SMU. They are the main ones. They are very consistent."

Breakdown what you talk about with Pitt and SMU

SMU: "They have been on me for a while. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff. They really want me and they let it be known that will be a valuable asset. They let me know if I come there and do what I have to do, that I will play a great amount. Personally I really enjoy talking to their staff."

Pittsburgh: "My relationship with Coach Capel goes back a little bit, just off the relationship between him and my Dad. Getting that phone call from him and getting that offer from him was great. He texts and calls me on a consistent basis. They let it be known that they are all in on me and that they really want me. Pitt has a great opportunity coming up with some senior guards leaving so that would be a great place where I could flourish a lot."
