Dailyn Swain, a 4-star prospect out of the class of 2023 has just announced his commit to head coach Sean Miller and Xavier. Swain has joined Reid Ducharme and Trey Green in Sean Millers first recruiting class at Xavier.

Swain is 6'6 G/SF out of Columbus, OH, had a very successful grassroots season with All Ohio on the Nike EYBL Circuit. His stock continuously rose throughout all four sessions.

In this article, I break down Swain's game and how he will fit in at Xavier his freshman season.

Full Player Breakdown

Dailyn Swain is a lengthy guard that has the body and frame to be elite at the next level. With the ball in his hands he is very comfortable and can make plays for himself and for others. Swain has incredible court vision. His passing abilities allow him to play on ball more than off the ball. He is very slippery as well, getting by defenders very easily and finishing right at the rim. Swain is one of the most unselfish players that I have watched. He wants his teammates to succeed more than himself. With being so unselfish and having the ability to play on the ball at his size. I think that Swain will be very successful at the next level.

How does he fit in his freshman season?

With his size, I believe that Swain can be an immediate impact. His abilities to play on the ball give him a huge advantage as well. Defensively he has the ability to guard 1-4 so that will help him stay on the floor. Another aspect of his game that will earn him minutes is his passing. If he is being looked at as a scoring threat by opponents, Swain will be able to set teammates up for easy baskets. With his size, IQ, and overall abilities, I think Dailyn Swain will have a huge freshman season at Xavier.
