Full Breakdown

Normand is a 6'6 SG/SF with tons of athleticism and upside. His greatest skill on the court is his scoring abilities. Normand has very long arms and a tight handle, making it hard for defenders to guess what his next move is. When the ball is in his hands he plays with great pace. Normand can change direction very well also, making it easier for him to get a lane straight to the basket. Once he gets to the rim, it is always a surprise what he is going to do. He can finish with either hand very efficiently or he will rise above defenders and dunk the basketball. Facilitating is a big part of his game. Normand puts on a show when passing the ball, making no-look passes and putting his teammates in the best position to score. With his athletic gift and overall scoring skill set, Normand should adapt fine to college basketball. 

What does he bring to Michigan State as a freshman?

As I said before, I truly believe that Normand will adapt easily to the next level of basketball. Normand has the ability to play above the rim and can impact the game without the ball in his hands. In his freshman season I think HC Tom Izzo will use Normand as more of a slasher. Cutting back door for layups, making shots off the catch, and getting into the lane will be the keys to helping him be the most impactful and successful his freshman season. 

Normands' growth through the years

Normand has proved  that he can score the basketball, but over the course of two years, he has made major improvements. First his athleticism has made a major jump. When Normand steps in the gym he is always one of highest jumpers and a crowd favorite with his big time dunks. His overall skill set has also made a huge jump. What catches my eye the most is his improved ball handling skills. With this, Normand is able to break defenders down and create space for open jump shots. His explosiveness has increased also. Having a quick first step helps him tremendously, especially at the next level.
