The Holiday Hoopsgiving showcase in Atlanta, Georgia has always been one of the nation's top early primary events to attend over the last few years or so and has bought out some of the best teams from across the country consistently. This year's event dates are set for November 26-27th. The Hoopsgiving event has not only been an elite high school showcase but has now recently added a college basketball portion as well that will be played in December.
High school alumni like R.J. Barrett (New York Knicks), Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), Isaac Okoro (Cleveland Cavaliers), Collin Sexton (Cleveland Cavaliers), Sharife Cooper (Atlanta Hawks), Brandon Boston Jr. (Los Angeles Clippers), Ashton Hagans, Udoka Azubuike (Utah Jazz), Jabari Smith Jr., Davion Mitchell (Sacramento Kings), and plenty others have played in this event in the past years.
The 2021 field is a loaded one and should not be any different than past years. Now the teams are subject to possibly change but preseason top-25 programs like Combine Academy (NC), Wasatch Academy (UT), Southern California Academy (CA), and Real Salt Lake Academy (UT) are expected to appear in the event this Thanksgiving. Other highly known programs like Wheeler (GA), Berkmar (GA), Huntington Prep (WV), Farmington (UT), Norcross (GA), Butchel (OH), The Patrick School (NJ), Grayson (GA), Pace Academy (GA), Centerville (OH), Crestwood Prep (CAN), and others are expected.
Elite prospects always show up and show out at the annual Atlanta event every Thanksgiving and prospects like 2023 PG Robert Dillingham, 2022 SG Collin Chandler, 2022 F Chris Livington, 2022 F Jordan Walsh, 2023 PG Isaiah Collier, 2023 G/F Elijah Fisher, 2022 C Adam Stewart, 2023 PG Gabe Cupps, 2022 SG Roddy Gayle (Ohio State), 2022 F Chris Bunch, SG Zion Cruz, 2022 F Maliqu Ewin, and more are expected to appear in the loaded event this November.
